Arizona Wanted Task Force

The Arizona WANTED (Wanted Apprehension Network Targeted Enforcement Detail) Task Force operates in a partnership with the United States Marshals Service. Its primary operation is to investigate and arrest, as part of multi-agency operations, persons who have active state and federal warrants for their arrest. Targeted crimes will primarily include violent crimes against persons, weapons offenses, felony drug arrests, failure to register as a sex offender and crimes committed by subjects who have criminal history involving violent crimes, felony drug offenses, and /or weapons offenses.

The task force consists of personnel from AZDPS and multiple other law enforcement agencies to include those on the federal, state and local levels.

Extradition

The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) coordinates all out of state AZDPS extradition requests, based on AZDPS issued arrest warrant parameters. This undertaking creates opportunities for AZ WANTED to interact with sworn personnel throughout the agency to accomplish this mission.
