Blood Alcohol
Blood alcohol analysis is the testing of a blood sample in order to determine the amount of alcohol (ethanol) content in the sample.
The Scientific Analysis Bureau provides analysis of blood specimens for alcohol content at the Central, Northern, and Southern regional laboratories. This analysis is completed using headspace gas chromatography, a standard in blood alcohol analysis for decades. Each year, the Scientific Analysis Bureau performs blood alcohol analysis on an average of 8,500 cases.
