Maj. Brant Benham
Executive Officer
A dedicated law enforcement professional with over 30 years of service with the Arizona Department of Public Safety. He started his career as a highway patrolman working in the Metro Phoenix area, before taking on leadership roles that would take him to assignments across the state. Throughout his distinguished career, Major Benham has held command and management assignments where he worked closely with both professional and sworn staff, in four divisions of the department and the Office of the Director.
He is passionate about ensuring a safe traveling environment for the motoring public, a commitment that has guided much of his work. Major Benham holds a bachelor’s degree in public safety administration and a master’s degree in human relations. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety, School of Police Staff & Command and was awarded a Certificate of Completion for the Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program, John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, Executive Education. He serves on the Arizona state board of Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS), a national nonprofit that supports the survivor families and co-workers of fallen officers. Additionally, he is the Law Enforcement At-Large Member on the Region IV board of the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA).
